The audience’s attention must be drawn, they must be pleasantly surprised and the message must be transmitted in a very short time. Otherwise, your layout will be overlooked. My experience as a media graphic designer helps me understand how information is perceived by the reader and how it should be presented in order to have an impact. From the photo, to the text flow, from the chosen colors, everything has to be in harmony, clear and pleasant visually. Advertising may be your oasis in a desert full of information, while conveying the desired message.
